Scott Sherman, a native San Diegan, is a husband, father, grandfather, businessman and former councilmember for the city of San Diego district 7. He has been in the insurance business as an independent agent and agency owner since 1992 and served on the board of the San Diego County Independent Insurance Brokers and Agents Association for many years. He still holds a brokers license and is active in the industry although he sold his agency in 2016. Scott served on the San Diego City Council from 2012 until 2020. He chaired the the city’s audit committee for six years.
