About Dr. Mounah Abdel-Samad
Dr. Abdel-Samad is the Associate Director of the School of Public Affairs at San Diego State University. He leads “Addressing Homelessness” (one of the Big Ideas that SDSU is advancing) and SEVI (the Social and Economic Vulnerability Initiative) which also focuses on homelessness. Dr. Abdel-Samad is currently working on a research project examining barriers to shelter usage. He recently finished collecting original data with more than 250 individuals experiencing homelessness.
